The show is back and so are levels of dumbness I was hoping we had left in the past.

Barry was dumb to run Cecile away, and that far away. Even at reduced speed, he should have bee3n able to grab the bomb and transport it away.

Mirror Iris' arguments about Joe's entry into witness protection were dumb. they made no sense. Sure, they accomplished her mission of getting Barry worked up enough to burn through his speed energy, but they should be off enough to tip him off that something isn't right about her.

The major dumb point of the episode, however, is Joe going into witsec on his own, without Cecile or their daughter. That makes NO sense! What's to stop Carver and pals from going after Cecile again? He's leaving her essentially alone and unprotected. Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Clothing-wise, the costume department seemed to have a collar problem. Both Ralph's and Sue's (especially Sue's) were way too big and loose for the actors. Carver's on the other hand, looked like he'd never be able to do up the buttons. Joe's was kind of off too, although it was hard to tell exactly how, given he was wearing it unbuttoned with a tie.

Rag Doll seemed less creepy this episode. I don't know if it was because of too much CGI or less effective choreography.

I paused the show RIGHT HERE, turned to my girlfriend, and we both said "that is the dumbest thing I've ever seen".

Less crunchy-bone sound effects, I think.

On the plus side, I loved Sue and Ralph and Cisco. Such a cute trio.

Agree on the levels of dumbness. I did enjoy the runaway car making hard right angle turns at 80+ miles-an-hour without flipping over. Maybe I misunderstood but did they imply that Rag Doll was in the car while Joe was driving it?

But, it wouldn't be a proper season of an Arrowverse show if there weren't at least one episode where the characters or story have to be dumb to set the table for subsequent episodes. I wonder if we'll see Joe again in this now shortened season.

I'm surprised we never got a scene where Barry and Joe had a conversation about Iris acting differently. There was one scene several episodes ago where Joe had a "what's up with her" look on his face after talking to hyper aggressive Iris at CCPD, and I think Barry had a similar reaction in a subsequent episode, so I was expecting that subplot to develop.

There was a quick shot at the dashboard and air vents in the car when it was first out of control and we heard a sinister laugh, so I think the idea was that he was crunched up inside the car somewhere and could reach the brakes and accelerator from the inside.

*camera cuts to speedometer* 120 MPH!!!!!!
*camera cuts to outside shot* oh, about 25 mph, give or take? And, like, not even sped up?
