Ruby and Billy decide to spend the day in Chicago before making any rash decisions about their next moves.
I think it was a probably a mistake to try to weld a thriller/blackmail plot onto a middle-aged plunge-and-regret escape fantasy. But I would also assume Fiona's complaints about her lack of recognition from Billy, and how it will affect her future job prospects was likely supposed to provide insight into a Billy who over-relied on the woman employee he exploited, though arguably you could say Ruby has exploited Lawrence, too? I'm not sure, but I certainly flinched when Lawrence asked Ruby if she'd had another breakdown. Her occasional forays into baby doll voices and squeaking do sometimes squick me out. For all that, the fantasy is a real one, and I am repeatedly annoyed at having to wait a week for the next 20-minute installment!

Yeah, I wonder if being able to see all these episodes in clumps, instead of once a week, would alleviate the meandering feeling I'm getting.
Overall, they have a solid story idea and actors with just the idea of old lovers meeting up after 12 years and what will they do. The thriller element feels bolted on, but I'll still be tune in next week to see where it goes!

Though that's the point, i.e. they're both a mess and it keeps getting messier as learn more about them.
