The Big Flower Fight: Season 1 - all episodes

Ten pairs of florists, sculptors and garden designers face off in a friendly floral fight to see who can build the biggest, boldest garden sculptures. (Netflix)
Esquire - The Big Flower Fight Is a Glorious Escape For Those of Us Trapped Inside: "Basically, The Big Flower Fight is The Great British Bake Off with carnations instead of cakes. In each episode, the pairs attempt to build a botanical sculpture based on challenges laid out by judges, a rotating cast of horticultural experts anchored by florist-to-the stars Kristen Griffith-Vanderyacht, which is exactly the name a person should have if they’re going to be a florist to the stars. Comedian hosts Vic Reeves and Natasia Demetriou steward us through this beautiful world, one that might as well have contestant Helen’s episode two statement as its guiding motto: “We’re competitive, but not in a nasty way.”"

Reality Blurred - Big Flower Fight is Netflix’s wilted, underbaked Great British Baking Show

I watched it over a couple of days with my finger on the fast-forward button. I enjoyed it, and most of the teams are very nice and/or interesting, and the hosts are fine, but there were plenty of bits where I said "yadda yadda" and forwarded through.

It was entertaining enough -- my main takeaway is that I should be calling my beloved coral bells heucheras, buuut I'm probably not going to.

Ha, I had a few flower common name a/o pronunciation side-eyes (of the US judge from me a US person). Overall the show exceeded my very low expectations - even though it seemed to land in an uncomfortable valley between British gentle contest and US cutthroat mayhem.
The flowers-on-the-inside in the finale was pretty fantastic.

Let me tell you, it's the perfect show to watch with a seven-year old. So much better than "Floor is Lava".

Took me several episodes to realize where I was recognizing Natasia Demetriou from -- Nadja of 'What We Do In The Shadows'; so strange to see her in daylight.
