The four remaining sewers go to the movies, taking on garments and techniques from the silver screen.
I'm sorry Liz is gone too, but I'm glad Matt is still there. I hope either he or Nicole wins.

I think this was definitely the wrong result. How can someone whose dress was in contention for Garment of the Week be sent home when Nicole's pleated dress was bad (probably as bad as Liz's), Nicole's transformation garment was worse (imho) than Matt's (who was third in that challenge) and whose flapper dress was atrociously made? The only successful flapper dress was Liz's. All the others had fundamental flaws that, in any other week, would have sent their maker home.

Yes, also sad about this and it feels like the wrong result. Sad to lose Liz's more imaginative take from the final.

Yeah, I did a double take when they said it was Liz. Usually it feels like the final challenge outweighs the other two by a lot when they're making the decisions. Just on the basis of that week it probably should have been Nicole or even Clare, though either would have been a shock. Matt would have felt right and I was sure it would be him, but maybe strictly on the basis of that week it wouldn't have made sense either.
I liked the movie theme. I do wish they'd spent a lot less time in that history segment on that one specific Marilyn Monroe pose from a million angles, and cringed when the curator guy started going on about her specific body measurements.
Liz's dress reminded me of the Singin' in the Rain vampire dress, which is one of my favorites of all time.
