The Mighty Nein attend a dinner hosted by a monstrous figure from Caleb's past, where both revelations and questions arise in multitude...
(respectfully)
That bit was so good - and the twist of Astrid and Eodwulf being less stock villains was interesting. Not really sure where that's going to go in the end, but but the Mighty Nein seems to have a history of charming evil-ish characters into being slightly less evil, so.
I had a moment of horror when it sounded like they were going to buy their arctic gear in Nicodranas - it's like buying your winter gear in LA! It's a bad idea! The winter gear fanart has been great so far.
What is it with Taliesin's characters having evil scientist ladies in their backstory?

Matt creates interesting villains in that they tend to have motivations and goals you understand, even if you don't agree...Trent is an asshole, but I understand why he's that way; I knew from Caleb's visit to Astrid that they were two people who had just come to very different worldviews, so it's nice to see that Eodwulf is the same.
I can see this ending with the M9 having to go retrieve Trent in the Happy Fun Ball...
