What a dramatic dropoff after that premiere.

The scene on the beach where Sam infodumps the story of his son's death then smiles and asks Jess to explain her research, and then she abruptly say "Ask Mimir" and then suddenly he's there?

That plays like the kind of shit a writer dumps into a first draft intending to straighten it out later.
