Superintelligence (2020)

When an all-powerful Superintelligence (voiced by James Corden) chooses to study the most average person on Earth, Carol Peters (Melissa McCarthy) the fate of the world hangs in the balance. As the A.I. decides whether to save, enslave, or destroy humanity, it's up to Carol to prove that people are worth saving.

This is the fluffy, harmless, multigenerational PG comedy you are flipping through streaming services hoping for this holiday weekend.

It was very laid-back, but the chemistry between McCarthy and the male lead was actually there and they were fun together. I wouldn't have minded those two characters in a movie without James Corden-as-AI.

A slightly poignant bit was the President character was a very Hilary-esque woman, like a movie from an alternate universe that had a much better last four years than ours did.
