The best episode so far! Some genuine LOL moments for me, like all the horsing around with the communicator and Wrecker and the Rancor lethargically swinging at each other. Also, I love Sid and hope we see much more of her.

"Clearly the kid's the brains of the operation."
[completely unironic low-five between Omega and Wrecker]

I did wonder at the start of the mission whether there was going to be a Mandalorian-style twist on who they had to rescue.

At this point the kid needs some kind of body armor, a cuirass at least.

Watching this directly after That Episode of critical role led to some significant tonal whiplash, as mr liam o'brien sashayed onto the aural screen

One thing that is really working for me is Omega's facial expressions and movements, a lot of the time the lower end cgi used in shows like this is ok for adult characters but makes children these weird smiley creatures. Omega has nuance here and it's really good. There's been a couple of moments where I thought to myself this is a good performance by that kid. Motion capture is pretty expensive but I am guessing they have to be using some.

We just recently had two young dogs play together in our yard and the Wrecker vs Muchi "I'm so so tired but you must not prevail" dynamic was hilariously familiar.

This episode was fun! I'm glad the show is really leaning in to "these clones are really used to being in situations where they've been adequately briefed and resourced and they don't actually know how to handle themselves at all outside of that context". They could definitely have just gone with "this is an all star team doing all star shit" but it's much more interesting to see them completely out of their depth and making mistakes.

Also funny that they made the exact same mistake as the one that kicked off The Mandalorian, yeah? "You must retrieve a being... It's n years old...see you when you have it." Like, wouldn't it be way more useful to know the species and a rough physical description than the age of the target?? It makes way more sense that the clones fucked this up but Mando really had no excuse.

So weird but also completely plausible that Omega grew up in a literal slave factory and it never occurred to her that slavery was a thing. Kids, man!

I found myself wondering if someone could rig up an exoskeleton for her (possibly using a broken robot chassis) that would make her seem like an adult member of the BBs, as long as she was careful not to, you know, act too much like a kid; that would set up some potential Vincent Adultman hijinks.

I'm fairly sure that I had this sort of fight with someone in college when we were both so catastrophically drunk that we couldn't really damage each other (thankfully).

What do we think the deal is with Wrecker? Is Fennec (or somebody else) using his chip to track them? Might be time for some DIY trepanation.

I'm wondering if his inhibitor chip is still barely functioning? Maybe down the line he'll suddenly be compelled to follow Imperial orders, like Crosshair.
