I suspect it’s that he struggles with a totally blank page, but I agree. His theater/comedy instincts are *so* good.

Agree, but also agreed that his skills lie in bouncing off of other ideas, rather than worldbuilding, the "yes, and" that the bros often joke about. (The necessary skill in the worldbuilder is gracefully incorporating the "yes, and" riffs.)
