Thanks for the reminder, I need to get my kids watching this. They loved the movies.

I was primed to love this: M.I. is one of my favorite Pixar movies and M.U., although quite a lot shaggier, has grown on me on repeat viewing.

But: I'm finding it just, eh, it's OK? so far. Something about it feels just ever-so-slightly off-brand; it looks right, they make judicious use of Billy Crystal and John Goodman as Mike and Sully to help transition us into the new characters, but: it's fine, it's OK.

I'm hoping they give Tylor a little more character because he gets kind of buried in this episode by Mindy Kaling's high-energy Val and the supporting MIFT cast -- especially Lucas Neff as the paranoid Duncan stealing the show.

I do like the gag of replacing Roz with her sister Roze which normally would be a "we couldn't get the actor so we recast" workaround except here ... it's the same actor giving a slightly different vocal performance.
