I avoided these for a long time because of a distaste for the Warrens, who seem like grifters, frankly. James Wan is a pretty good director though, so I'm catching up now.

This movie is largely carried by Lili Taylor, who is just fantastic here.

I dunno, DOT, Patrick Wilson is sporting some sweet-ass sideburns in these films...

I have called Patrick Wilson sideburns guy for years. In my mind he only does period movies/shows so he can sport them. Okay, maybe just the Conjuring series and Fargo.. Like JK Simmons and mustaches.

This movie is an odd case of really liking the fictional version of the Warrens while absolutely detesting them in real life. These two really like and trust each other and it's hard not to root for them. Also has fantastic direction and is easily in the top 5 of well crafted ghost story films.
