Rebooting the Constructed Reality Film Club

Streaming options are starting to run a bit low on movies that fit directly. Here are a few proposed movies that stretch the definition a bit. Feedback is welcome.

Hi everyone, hope you all had good holidays. I'm looking forward to starting this back up on Monday the 12th with... Labyrinth! It's a liiiiitle bit outside of the idea of computer simulations, but still represents a constructed reality (albeit a fantasy one).

Another, similar idea is Snowpiercer, which has been discussed before (what are the rules about that?). Otherwise streaming selections are getting rather thin. Like, I'm even considering Last Action Hero.

So, speaking of which, what do people think about rental movies? I've been trying to do 50/50, but going forward it might become necessary to do strictly rental stuff. As always, I'd love suggestions for any movies you'd like to see in the genre.

A few ideas I had for rentals are,

The Game
West World
The 13th Floor
The Ghost In the Shell OVAs
Summer Wars
Cube
Good Bye Lenin!
Jacob's Ladder
Inception

Every time I see the trailer for Ant-Man with Michael Douglas I think about The Game. I could stand to watch it again. It was fun. And maybe Cube. I haven't seen Ghost so I'm game for that.

Vanilla Sky (2001) is the closest thing to constructed reality that I care to watch right now that's on streaming, and to be honest, I really hate it as a film. I'd like to get back to weekly discussions, so I might do something for two weeks from now...
