Auuugghhh the penis-talking scene. I just... ::curls in tiny ball, dies:: I know Sebastian Stan has worked with director Craig Gillespie before (on I, Tonya), and I'm glad they enjoy doing these kinds of things together and yadda yadda, but I don't know if my heart can take this full series. My embarrassment squick button is being mashed by an 800-pound gorilla here.

There are some articles about the prosthetic body parts and makeup out there, but I'm not strong enough to read them, though my friend keeps tormenting me by sending me snippets. Just in case you're interested.

I will say that I had no idea who Tommy Lee was before Sebastian took this role, I knew of Motley Crue or however their name is spelled mostly for reasons having nothing to do with their music or him. And he definitely sounded, from what I'd read, like a horrible excuse for a person, exactly the kind of person fame and money turn into monsters, and so it's interesting how they're playing him here and not shying away from his deficits as a person. I definitely laughed out loud at the scene on the plane where he asks her what her favorite movie is after their four-day sex and drugs fest. I haven't been a fan of Lily James, but she's killing it here.

For reasons I can't really explain, I read Bobbi Brown's book "Dirty Rocker Boys." You might remember Bobbi from such hits as the video for Warrant's "Cherry Pie." Anyway, she was married to TLJ just before Pamela was, and the way she tells it, he was not a nice man, and he was doing way too many drugs even for BB, which is saying something. He was, however, well-hung. And I also learned from this book that Leonardo diCaprio is also well-endowed (at least according to BB).

The penis is voiced by Jason Mantzoukas, who, among many other roles, had good guest runs on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Good Place, and Parks and Recreation.

Watching Tommy brute-force his way into Pam's heart (with the help of a lot of drugs) was real cringe for me, but the scene on the plane helped make up for it, as did the moment when Tommy Lee realizes that, while he is famous, Pamela Anderson is FAMOUS.

I'm definitely not telling you to read an article about prosthetic body parts, but you could. I'm having trouble finding the MTV Cribs that shows the finished renovations to the house, but here are some clips.

Two episodes in (almost everything around here is closed due to winter weather), I'm really enjoying the music choices.

I'm watching with my wife - which makes the penis scenes that much more fun. I'm hoping we've seen the last of Tommy's chatty member. The airplane scene was played perfectly, and probably pretty on target if you met a person and got married on a 4-day bender and were now on the way home and sober for the first time.

Never quite understood the hyper-focus on Tommy's penis size—saw the original video back in the day, sadly, and he's really not that big? Anyways, found the show to be a bit of a slog so far.
