Six couples are facing difficulties in their relationships and can’t decide whether to marry. One partner is ready to walk down the aisle and has issued the ultimatum; the other isn't as sure. .

To help them decide, Nick and Vanessa Lachey guide the couples through an eight-week process that involves choosing a new potential partner from the group. At the end of the experiment, each participant will decide whether they want to marry the person they came with or if it's time to call it quits

This show is so stupid. I don't know how people do dishes and laundry without shit like this on in the background. Thrilled to see this here so I can get the MeFi hot takes. Ideally folks will get heated and start interrupting each other and demanding that other posters LOOK AT THEM for max realness.

It’s so stupid, I know. Their conversations are more boring than my real life. But still I watch.

I’m really glad I found out (SPOILER I guess) that Rae is queer and now in a relationship with a woman before starting this because her whole deal makes so much more sense and is so much more interesting with that knowledge. Like go back and watch the first episode - the way she’s trying to be such a good partner and tick off all the boxes of Successful Heterosexuality without even knowing how she feels about her partner - that’s something a lot of queer people experience before they come out. I’m so glad she’s out now and it sounds like she’s really happy so yay for her!

Otherwise I’m about halfway through and this show is SO BORING and ridiculous at the same time but also weirdly, yes, the perfect background show. It’s terribly made, it feels like it doesn’t even have producers. The concept is absurd, especially since almost all of these people are in their EARLY TWENTIES! Slow your roll, kids, no need to rush into your first marriage so quickly.

This falls on my Netflix garbage rating scale somewhere between Is It Cake and Twenty Somethings Austin. Which means I watched it all, but would probably not admit to it in public.

Please don’t denigrate Is It Cake, that show went down so easy.

I’m still slowly watching this show. Are these people really capable of taking care of those dogs? I wouldn’t let any of them hold my dog’s leash.

I really enjoyed Nick and Vanessa Lachey's hosting of the finale of Love is Blind; they really held some folks' feet to the fire. Was expecting the same thing here and somewhat got it ... except why the heck were they (and everyone else for that matter) so nice to Colby???

Oh man, just watched all of this the last week while I've had the flu.
I'm not a trash TV person but I loved it.

I thought Randall was the best, most mature person on there - which is like, not saying a whole lot, but I saw him be more able to listen and consider things than anybody else. I was rooting for Colby at the start but by the end - not so much.
The worst is probably a tie between Alexis (def the worst but didn't really participate in the show) and Madlyn. Basically every word out of Alexis' mouth was there to stir something up. Madlyn had that moment during the "girls night out" where she really antagonized April, though.
I thought Zay had the most growth. Didn't end up in a great place, but yeah, think he had the biggest difference in where he started and where he ended.

The last question of the reunion show was "How do you feel about ultimatums now?" and everybody was like "yeah, they're good right? Got us to a better place today?" and I was just yelling at the TV "HAVE YOU HEARD OF COUPLES THERAPY!??"
I guess you wouldn't get to drink booze out of a metal cup every day, though.
