This is a weird show and the characters behave in unexplainable ways a lot of the time, and I have a feeling it won't end any better than LOST did, but there are times when it hits a Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul level of brilliance. The cold open of this episode (Wayne's crazy drive and medical issue) set to the excellent 2020 by Suuns* is one of those times. The song is the perfect combination of western and SciFi and the filming and acting are perfect.

Here's hoping for more like that!

Honestly, it reminds me in a weird way of the first season of the TV version of Fargo: people in a mundane setting who are erratic, unexpectedly existential, and just plain fucking weird.
