This was great. I have a just-turned-3yo who doesn't really show any interest in manipulating anything on screens-- she loves TV/movie screen time and being shown photos, but is uninterested in anything requiring interaction. We've really just tried drawing (so-so) and the PBS Kids app (seems frighteningly boring even to her). Plante's description of getting to Sonic with his four-year-old was great, and the Sago Mini app that Griffin mentioned also sounds like a pretty good one to try.
Roblox sounds... interesting. They've touched on it before. We're too young for it but the descriptions of it as a digital playground are kind of fascinating.

It's also too bad that this was right before Switch Sports came out. I'd be interested to hear how young kids need to be before that "clicks". I vaguely remember the original Wii Sports finding purchase with younger kids, but I don't remember how young; even my youngest cousins were like 4-6 when it originally came out.

I especially appreciate the extended descriptions of Roblox which as a childfree aging millennial I was pretty ignorant of and have been too lazy to learn.
