Main Story #2: The Phillipine elections, which have a chance of dumping current dictator Rodrigo Duterte, but if so one of the possible replacements is Ferdinand Marcos Jr., largely because of the rewriting of history in their media and on the internet. Be on the look out for John saying: "That is the single dumbest story involving a young Michael Jordan I have ever heard, and I have seen Space Jam." It's not just bad that it happened, it's that it happened because of the culture of rampant misinformation that continues to suffuse social media like Facebook. That Michael Jordan story is idiotic, but would some people in the U.S. be fooled by it, if Trump said he had done it? You bet they would.

I realize Michael Jordan has better things to do with his time, but part of me hoped there was going to be a stunt campaign commercial at the end in which Michael Jordan refuted the story. Or, alternatively, maybe a series of other basketball players could recount increasingly unlikely fake encounters with Marcos (hard to top the "real" one though).
But I didn't mind the replay of the bucket of sloths.
