The show goes to see Appalachian State host Troy in the last weekend before conference play begins in earnest, because there are only two games between ranked teams anyway.
One of those two games is the inexplicably #24 Texas A&M (who lost to still-unranked App State last week) trying to get their season back on track by hosting #13 Miami, which is starting to get a little swagger back. The other is #12 BYU at #25 Oregon; the Cougars need every win they can get (especially with Notre Dame and Arkansas looming), and while it isn't technically very important for the Ducks, who are unlikely to rise to the playoff even with a Pac-12 title, they do need to set the narrative for the remainder of the season.
Other P5 matchups include #1 Georgia stomping into South Carolina, #6 Oklahoma going into Lincoln to face the deFrosted Nebraska, #11 Michigan State going to Washington, #16 NC State hosting Texas Tech, #20 Ole Miss at Georgia Tech, and #22 Penn State visiting Auburn, who have asked the fans to orange out the stadium.
