Interested in why all the Kenari are kids. Survivors of another ship crash? And the crew of the crashed ship seemed to have had Separatist logos on them, so presumably the strip mine was (originally) a Separatist mine before the Imperials took it over.

I'm suspecting the planet was stripmined and that's where all the adults went.

But I also think these kids are not from a hunter-gather culture: their clothing is woven and knit, and multi-colored. I think their parents were enslaved and then killed in a mining accident, and they were left on their own.

Not sure why the crew member shot at the kids?

They're looting his ship? Maybe he thought they were with whoever caused it to crash.

Yeah they definitely seem to be living with the remains of a more technological life.

I really thought Bell-Ringing Guy was Clancy Brown in a fun cameo, but IMDb doesn't list him -_-

The spaceship people looked like humans but they all had greenish-yellow faces. Possibly there's some kind of toxic gas in the air from the mining accident but the kids are immune to it?

I think Maarva and Clem would have been affected if it were there was something in the air from a mining accident. Maybe toxic gas in whatever the Seperatists were transporting. These the first human Seperatists we've seen besides Dooku? Why the worry about the (Old) Republic showing up? I guess we only see how things are in the Republic from the ruling class' point of view. Going just bases on movies and the other live action series. Haven't watched any of the animated stuff.
