I've been watching this. Yes, it's pretty good. Peter! Aunt May! Money problems! Gwen! MJ! JJ Jameson ("Parker!"). It's interesting the way the series ties all of Spidey's classic enemies together.

Episode 1.1 ought to be used in screenwriting class; it's just a model of efficiency. In 22 minutes and 30 seconds, the screenwriters introduce Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Flint Marko, Hammerhead, The Big Man/Tombstone, Anna, Aunt May, Adrian Toomes, Dr. Otto Octavius, Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn, Gwen Stacy, Sally Avril, Rand, Flash Thompson, Liz, Montana, Fancy Dan, Ox, Dr. Curt Connors, Dr. Martha Connors, Eddie Brock, J. Jonah Jameson, and Betty Brandt (we also see appearances from Kong, Robbie Robertson, and Lee, but they don't get much screen time and don't get fleshed out).

Of that impressive list of characters you get a decent feel for who Peter Parker, Aunt May, Adrian Toomes, Dr. Octavius, Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn, Sally Avril, Flash Thompson, and J. Jonah Jameson all are (at least, at this point in the story), and the screenwriters also add some fairly unforced humor, establish the dichotomy between Peter Parker's abilities as Spider-Man and and his lack of social standing at school, as well as his drive to earn money to help out Aunt May with her financial troubles, and work in a brief origin story via flashback.

Plus they establish Harry's stakes (wanting respect from his domineering father) and hint at the rivalry (at this point still playful) between Eddie and Peter as well as establishing the use of the serum which will turn Dr. Connors into The Lizard.

It's remarkable, really.

It turns out Disney actually does have the entire series; they just have it marked wrong in their system. Nature vs. Nurture (1.13) is the end of Season 1; Blueprints (which they have listed as 1.14) is episode 2.1.

If you watch the rest in order up till Shear Strength (which they have as 1.17), then skip to First Steps (currently listed as 1.26) then skip back to Growing Pains it'll be in order. The show ends with Final Curtain.

Or you could just watch them out of order, but it'll be puzzling how Venom shows up when the symbiote is trapped, and why Flash is miffed that Sha Shan never went to a party which we didn't see and which he never invited her to.

I canceled Netflix a while back so I couldn't say if they've made the same mistake / pulled in data from the same incorrect source.
