Chucky: Death on Denial

In an extended riff on drawing room mysteries, a la Agatha Christie, Tiffany's secrets are threatened by a surprise intervention from Glen and Glenda in the form of party... interrupted by murder! Party guests include Meg Tilly, Gina Gershon, Joey Pantoliano, and Sutton Stracke as funhouse versions of themselves. The episode also brings aboard Lachlan Watson (Sabrina) in the twin role of Glen and Glenda, Chucky and Tiffany's non-binary children.

Currently airing weekly on both SyFy and the USA Network. Season one is available on Peacock in the US and season two is expected to turn up there once it wraps up.

If I could convince more MeFites to try this, I am convinced it would be one of the most popular shows on FF.

It's fucking delightful: horror comedy, camp, scares, satire, and has LGBT teen protagonists.

Jennifer Tilly is a RIOT here and her celeb party guests have palpable fun playing demented, trash versions of themselves.

I haven’t seen this show, but my brain first read the title as Death in Denali, leading me to think this was about a haunted doll that goes mountaineering.

This series is an unbridled delight! I’m a few episodes behind, thanks to the vagaries of the SyFy app, but coming back to this episode made me fall in love with the show all over again. People, Gina Gershon addresses Joey Pants as Joey No-pants, this series is a gift.

So apparently this episode was supposed to have a musical scene, but it had to be scrapped because of COVID. John Waters has always wanted there to be a Chucky musical. Damn covid!
