This is one of those weird multiverse things for me - I *swear* I had seen this movie long before 2016 (in my mind, it was more like 2010/11) - I read the book when it came out, but I am absolutely certain the movie was earlier. OTOH, I see "many" apocalyptic/zombie-type movies (and read novels), so perhaps it all just blends together.

It was "ok", not particularly memorable - the book was better.

I kind of got the sense that with this casting the producers were hoping to capture some of the buzz that had hung around 1408 (which was a superior movie).
