Emily Hampshire! Mark Addy! I'm a sucker for mystery box shows!

Naw, give it a pass. This is just boringly bad. Had such high hopes from a trailer last year.

I thought the beginning was pretty promising, and I was excited! A few episodes later, I was bored. At the end, I was just disappointed. :(

But I loved the Scottish accents.

This started off a bit promisingly, but then just ground on. It didn't need to be six episodes long.

I watched the first episode of this the other night and it seemed like it was not going to be very good, despite the cast which is full of people I really like. Glad to hear that it's probably not worth watching the rest of them.

Thank you porpoise. It may be unfulfilling, but warning viewers away is a noble act.

I love disaster, but its not a high volume genre, so we've got to take what we can get, don't we?

I went into it thinking it was just an oil rig drama, not an ermahgerd tectonic weirdness drama (!!!). I got to learn about the Storegga Slide. I greatly enjoyed the many Scottish accents (Sir Friendzone!! speaking his native tongue!). I knew Coake was familiar immediately, and the name Mark Addy rang a major bell but I had to IMDB him to realize OMG it's Robert Baratheon (devoid of hair and beard)!!!

I mean, yeah, it's bad. It's disaster! (it's a disaster lol). but I stayed on for the tectonic weirdness p*rn so I'm good.

Less soap, more kraken

Every oil well is a portal to the underworld

Each will require workers to care for them until the end of time

Lest they rupture and trump methane into the climate, making hell on earth

They got the prison nature of oil rigs right. Company sticks you out there, no guarantee you come back

Truth is stranger than this fiction
