Tonight has been dubbed “Championship Fight Night”, because every scheduled match is either a title match or a qualifier for a big match, including what might be AEW's first ever gauntlet stipulation.

Tonight's announced card:

--Bryan Danielson vs. Rush
Danielson must win in order to face MJF at Revolution, but Rush has been bribed a briefcase full of money to break Bryan's arms

-“The Acclaimed” (Max Caster and Anthony Bowens) vs. Austin Gunn and Colten Gunn for the AEW Tag Team Titles
This match was arranged by an angered Billy Gunn without checking in with Caster & Bowens, so who knows where he'll jump once all his boys start getting violent on each other

-The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt and Nick Jackson) vs. AR Fox and Top Flight (Dante Martin and Darius Martin) for the AEW Trios Titles
The Elite's defense against The Firm was fun, but Top Flight actually have a victory over the Young Bucks in tag competition

-AEW World Champion MJF vs. Konosuke Takeshita in an eliminator match
If Takeshita wins, he also gets a shot at MJF's title

-AEW Women’s Champion Jamie Hayter vs. The Bunny in an eliminator match
The Bunny's been absent from the whole "AEW originals" vs. "WWE transplants" feud, perhaps because she is neither (having a long career in Impact as Allie). Expect one side or the other to intervene.

-Ricky Starks runs the “Garcia-Guevara Gauntlet” to earn a match against Chris Jericho
Starks must face Angelo Parker, Matt Menard, and then either Daniel Garcia or Sammy Guevara in the gauntlet match

Did MJF just.... confess to several felonies on live television? This is a very different teenage story than the one he told CM Punk about last year.

So much about this episode reminds me of a 90s RAW episode:
--a gauntlet match
--a heel tries locking someone in a room
--blood spatter on the camera lens
--women's match goes 5-minutes

For the sake of future generations reading this thread, I'll just say that aside from my sarcasm, I would rate at least two of tonight's matches -- Danielson v Rush and the trios match -- as 5-star matches, with MJF v Takeshita close behind. The only drawback being that each of them were foregone conclusions for smart marks.
