It's so strange that the Della and Perry love-interest threads just completely disappeared in this episode. Like, I get that there's a lot going on here, but after Perry's juvenile snit and Della's incipient cohabitation, it's as if they just don't exist? I get that this is the penultimate episode of the season, but come on.

Poor Clara, too. She's just trying to help out and she has to watch a lady OD. Great job staying on target, though, and grabbing the mail on the way out.

Whoa, there’s only eight episodes? Ugh. I was getting in to this season more and I’m really liking Clara a lot. I would have really enjoyed a few more hours to fill things out.

I knew that Perry’s fight with Pete would be one of those “best each other half to death and then have a great conversation” ones but even being a cliche can’t ruin it for me. I am a sucker for those. 🤗

I know it would have been completely at odds with the tone of the show but I would have loved a quick scene of Phipps talking to the police and saying when he’d found his wife he thought he’d spotted Josephine Baker sneaking out of the house.
