This was great. A brilliant gender swap on the 1988 Cronenberg original, and all inspired by a true story, no less. Especially liked that Weisz's twins had the same first name as the Jeremy Irons characters, plus Britne Oldford's Genevieve was surely a nod to Geneviève Bujold. The body horror was all the more visceral for being framed by female protagonists, plus the male characters either had extremely dubious motivations or were crushingly self-deprecating.

Yay someone else has watched this! Rachel Weiss was so convincing as two completely different characters.
