Another great episode; Sam's singing/breathing exercises bringing up out-of-control Feelings rang so true. At this point I think Joel deserves better than St Louis Sushi, but the show is trying to make SLS likeable (early stages, I know) so I guess I'll go with it, though that will be a helluva first impression to overcome. All of the relationships on the show have felt so real and lived-in but Joel/SLS feels a little forced to me.

Whether the show introduces a love interest for Sam, and if so, how, is such an interesting open question. I trust them to do it (or not do it) in a fun, surprising and heartfelt way.

I love the show's honesty about bodies and sex (that couch TV sex scene with Joel and Sam was hilarious), but kinda hope the laugh-out-loud potty humor doesn't become a weekly episode closer. The pee thing was cute and I laughed, sure, but maybe we've dipped into the excretory pond enough for this season.

One of the best half-hour sitcom-ish shows I've seen in a while, up there with Hacks and Katherine Hahn's Mrs. Fletcher. HBO's really good at these.

Loved the offscreen Amy Sedaris cameo! I hope Trish sells a bunch of those pillows.
