And Sam is pushing people away.

‘Charity Cases’ is SUCH a good name for Tricia’s company!
I’m a lover of punning shop names, this was catnip for me.
It’s so good it almost makes me think that they had this joke in their heads from last year and named the ‘lying cunt’ Charity in anticipation. That her business is pillow cases, and lying down on them is what you do, argh chef’s kiss.
The person-ification of the fridge also hilarious, how does that ever get made up in a writers’ room? Genius.

Ok, so we're all agreed this wondeful show is the best comedy of the year, right?

The sibling-ness of Sam and Tricia rang so true in this episode, from the way Sam won Tricia over with her goofy refrigerator dance and the fun they were having with the cake to the parting shots Tricia threw as Sam was furiously leaving. So real.

The Joel-SLS romance has been deliciously sweet; SLS is impossible to dislike; the way they make each other laugh is utterly infectious and has me giggling along with them. One quibble: while I guess I can understand why Joel started lying to Sam (after the heart-wrenching "omg Sam's never been in love" thing), it's still felt kind of sitcom-y in a way the show usually doesn't, and has been a kind of disappointingly predictable story arc.

So I gather from Wikipedia that we'll get both episodes 6 and 7 on Sunday? That'll be a nice way to end the season.

Btw, the Daily Beast review of Season 2 linked at the Wikipedia page does a great job of capturing what makes the show special:

It’s that stunning empathy that gives this small show its cogent edge. In its second season, Somebody Somewhere replicates everything its first seven episodes did so well, without ever feeling like a retread. This latest batch of beauty confirms the series as one of the decade’s finest, thanks to its delightful ensemble cast and a knack for fleshing out life’s minutiae, with gravity and irreverence in equal measure.

The Joel/SLS scenes are delightful - what a refreshing look at two characters who you don't often see represented on TV.
