A great little movie - you go in believing it's some magical realism picture with some middle America middle class angst, only to have the doors come way way off towards the end. Totally earns the ending, which is somehow just as unexpected as it was the only way it could have possibly come together.

It's a movie I will be thinking about for a while.

MovieMaker has a good interview with Gaffigan about the ending.

Seconding, even though the first few minutes gives you a preview of everything that's coming, I was pleasantly surprised at well it came together at the end. I haven't been thinking about it so much as feeling it since I saw it.

I just watched this and, wow, yeah, I did not expect the ending (I almost said landing).

It’s not a perfect movie, but it takes a lot of chances with the movie making and does it successfully, too, most of the time. I really like it.

(I typed landing in my earlier comment three times before I—LOL—landed on ending, so you are not alone)
