Benjamin and Dom have been best friends since they were kids. On their last night together, Dom plans to send Benjamin off with a pocketful of cash. All he has to do is deliver a package over the border for a friend...

Benjamin is moving to LA to be an adult film star. On their last night together, Dom wants surprise Benjamin with some cash before his big move so he has some protection in case anything goes wrong. They go to meet a "friend" of Dom's cousin, Alice, who wants Dom to move some precious cargo over the border. But things go wrong very quickly when Alice pulls a gun and demands Dom ingest the condom filled baggies. And it only gets much much worse from there.

So the premise, person forced into becoming a drug mule and things go badly, has certainly been done before. The scenes from Maria Full of Grace definitely left a mark on me about how harrowing being a drug mule can be without the drug in question in being some nasty bug eggs that end up needing to be "delivered" in a cabin in the woods (of course) without a working toilet. So yeah I would prepare yourself for some intense body horror.

Ooh, thanks for the reminder about this one; saw the trailer months ago and forgot about it, but thought it was neat that Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street star/victim Mark Patton plays a creepy villain.

81/84 on Rotten Tomatoes, which seems pretty good for an apparently gruesome and openly queer body horror flick, though some of the reviews object to it turning campy towards the end. Does it get too silly, miss-lapin? Or too rapey? 1:41 in the trailer looks kinda sorta like a fisting scene?

Justwatch says it's currently VOD for $3-4 at some usual outlets.

I didn't find it particularly silly. OK Mark Patton saying "Momma's got something for you" while chasing a scantily clad Colin Koch through the woods is a bit silly. But I thought it worked with Patton's character. He reminded me of Denis O'Hare in the last season of AHS. While that season was egregious, O'Hare played gay lounge lizard/cold hit man with perfection and Patton hits similar notes.

I thought the threat of sexual violence was actually very well done and that is a rare compliment from me. For me a lot of that came down to the acting. Colin Koch has this one moment where you can see the absolute rage he feels and then how he slowly begins to realize how he has to play this dude to survive.

There be spoilers here so be warned!

In terms of fisting, I mean I don't want to give away too much but the "fisting" is...let's say consensual bug removal. There is no rape in the movie-there is however forced ingestion of bug larvae in condoms at gunpoint and then digital removal of those larvae. So...you need to ask yourself how you feel about a significant portion of the film being about that.

Oh and I think it's less than 2 dollars for prime day if you rent it today.

I would have thought that Lucy pretty much filled my lifetime quota for "drug mule being hit in the stomach has unusual results", but Jena Malone is also in this, so I might give it a try.
