Ah, this was like having a nice chat with an old friend. Billy west’s Fry voice sounded a bit more gravelly than I remember - here’s hoping to nine more solid episodes.

Canonically, he should sound more like Lars than not at this point.
This was very meta, but it worked better than the first episode on Comedy Central which also went hard into the meta of "reboot".

This was… not especially great (I laughed maybe twice?) but it was at least worth a couple smiles here and there. Hoping the rest of the season stands a bit stronger on its own merits instead of trying to get meta with it.

Confused - Why does this show here as Season 11, but Wikipedia list this as "Season 8", and other sources such as AppleTV show Season 8 as being from 2011? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Futurama_episodes#Season_8_(2023)

IMDB organizes the seasons (for this show, at least) based on when they aired in the traditional US TV season schedule that starts in September. Futurama's production schedule didn't adhere to that. So the official Season 1 aired from March 1999 to November 1999 and Season 2 from November 1999 to December 2000, but IMDB's Season 1 is the episodes between March 1999 and May 1999, Season 2 is September 1999 to May 2000, and Season 3 is November 2000 to May 2001. The official production schedule for S2 therefore includes episodes that IMDB lists as S1, S2, and S3.
Futurama has had eight production seasons, but has aired episodes across eleven* different TV seasons (1999-2003, 2008, 2010-2013, and 2023), and IMDB lists them based on the latter.
* -- The movies came out over nearly 18 months spanning both the 2008 and 2009 TV seasons; there's no indication of why IMDB counts that as a single season.
