[TRAILER] Randy Dean (Laurel Holloman), a boyish lesbian who works at a gas station, has trouble performing in high school and is treated badly by bigoted locals because of her sexual identity. She begins an unlikely friendship with one of her school's popular girls, the affluent Evie (Nicole Parker). But when their friendship blossoms into a romance, the two find themselves struggling with the intricacies and pitfalls of discovering love, and having to reveal their relationship to friends and family.

I remember seeing this in the theater and I remember being charmed as hell by it. As I recall, the very ending had the whole audience saying "awww" and then bursting out in laughter.

I saw this as a teenager freshly thrown out of my house for being gay and remember thinking ok, this is going to be ok. I don’t remember much of the film but I do remember the bedroom full of light and happiness.

This movie was so adorable!! It helped me, a teen bi/pan girl, believe that things were going to be okay.
