Eight horror-loving friends fight for their lives when a killer clown who seems to know the grim secret they share begins to pick them off, one by one.

Streaming in the US on Netflix, and presumably pretty accessible elsewhere.

This is not a Great Film, but after the umpteenth dour Elevated Horror slog from this week's art school nepobaby du jour who wants to be the next Ari Aster, you might find this a welcome digestif, as I did. Is it basically Scream? Pretty much, if by "like Scream" you mean is it a breezy slasher that doesn't take itself very seriously and, um...yeah, it's more or less Scream and you'll figure it out in the first twenty minutes, but whatever, it's fun! It's a good ease into spooky season kind of movie, and maybe I've just been watching too much angstsy-wanksty wanna-be A24 shit, but I found it a bit of fresh air, frankly.
