Starring Michael Caine, Katharine Ross, Richard Widmark, Richard Chamberlain, Olivia de Havilland, Ben Johnson, Lee Grant, José Ferrer, Patty Duke, Slim Pickens, Fred MacMurray, Henry Fonda.

Produced and directed by Irwin Allen (The Poseidon Adventure). Written by Sterling Silliphant, who won an Oscar for In the Heat of the Night, but also wrote Over the Top.

I caught it on Netflix months ago. So bad it's hilarious.

The train crash really sums up the tone of the movie.

The bees come for the small town and the cinema is showing THE TOWERING INFERNO, the disaster epic Irwin Allen produced before THE SWARM - sublime!
