The thing that I really wasn’t expecting with this show was that it would be so damn heartwarming and kind. This was so touching and informative at the same time.

I am so impressed that these folks dedicated an entire episode (for the most part) to a non-football (-soccer) subject. A universal story of love, dedication, and sacrifice.

It broke my heart more than a bit when Millie's mom told us that Millie had never told her she loved her.

What a great series.

This was a terrific episode, unexpected even for this show—leaving the soccer clips until the last two minutes, and showing those clips silently so we could have a bit of Millie’s experience, was very moving and effective.

n.b., it’s ok to use ‘soccer’ in these threads, that’s the nickname for football from English clubs:
Linguistically creative students at the University of Oxford in the 1880s distinguished between the sports of “rugger” (rugby football) and “assoccer” (association football). The latter term was further shortened to “soccer” (sometimes spelled “socker”), and the name quickly spread beyond the campus. However, “soccer” never became much more than a nickname in Great Britain. By the 20th century, rugby football was more commonly called rugby, while association football had earned the right to be known as just plain football.
