As Blackbeard remains plagued by the distrust of his crew, Izzy schools Stede on how to be an effective captain.

Ed attempts to make amends to the crew while on probation, as Stede learns the basics of captaining from Izzy. A cursed garment is acquired, much to the crew's dismay. Roach and Frenchie are men of science. Fang teaches a lesson in catching fish.

A thousand costumes were born last night—that is one sexy cursed garment. Also Izzy looking swole as h*ck this season.

You know, I love Lucius but I don’t find Pete all that interesting (and Lucius has more chemistry with Izzy anyway, sorrynotsorry).

I think that's kind of the magic of Pete. We've never been meant to find him that interesting. He entered the show as something of a guy who's making stuff up to build up his own image out of a despairing absence of any real energy.

I hope Ed's probation really proves transformative, in his listening and learning from the crew over what he put them through.

I actually wasn't that big on the cursed suit. I'm not sure why the blouse survived the transfer, though perhaps only so Ed could say something about wearing fine things.
