Last Week Tonight with John Oliver: Food Safety and the FDA
October 16, 2023 1:03 AM - Season 10, Episode 13 - Subscribe

This week... a cold open about the situation in Gaza. The US House voted out Speaker Kevin McCarthy, and replacing him won't be easy. And Now: Jim Cramer Is Totally Untroubled By His Haters. The main story (Youtube, 20 minutes) involves food safety and the failings of the Food & Drug Administration in ensuring it. And Now: Check Out The Sexual Tension Between Fox Business' Liz Claman And Charlie Gasparino.

F.37: "Quod Eras Demonstratum," TAYLOR SWIFT

P.S. HBO, I don't care how much you're pushing it to Last Week Tonight viewers, the great majority of us have NO INTEREST in Real Time With Bill Maher. UGH.

It seems that the solution to the weird FDA/USDA split would be to reshuffle their responsibilities.

That fox business bit was just creepy.

Always great, thanks for posting these. I know it's old hat by now, but I love the flip of comedy/news compared to the old Daily Show or Colbert Report. I only found old articles saying he thinks he isn't, which now is a bit disappointing, but he clearly cares, does great in-depth stories, and investigates really important issues.
