This was an odd duck of a show. I don't think it worked as a whole, at least, not for me. The tonal shifts were too extreme, between the past life & curse origin elements and the present-day cutesy rom-com elements.

Ah, well. Rowoon is a dreamboat, here's hoping I like his next show better.

I agree. I was also distracted--or perhaps influenced to be disappointed already--by its plot similarities to See You In My 19th Life, which also fumbled the second half of the series.

Yes, I think Destined fumbled harder than 19th Life. It's too bad -- the initial appearances of the ghostly red hand were legitimately creepy, and some of the past life scenes were moving. But there ended up being a very low-stakes feel to things by the end, despite the whole murderous gardener subplot. Maybe if they'd had a more compelling side-plot than the supervisors' romance.

I loved this one mostly for the love triangle - OK, mostly for that dreamboat Rowoon. I laughed out loud at so many of his lines in the first half of the series! But seriously, it hooked me in, and I finished it within a week and couldn’t stop thinking about it between episodes. The product placement was fascinatingly ridiculous, too.

I wanted the mom to run off with the young lawyer, who clearly adored her.

And how did they pull off such a hot sex scene after so many episodes of frozen lip kisses?! I was stunned. And amazed.
