I thought this movie was fantastic, original, and genuinely scary. Can’t wait to see Rugna’s new one on Shudder.

I think this movie has one of the most incredible setups but it doesn't quite deliver on the promise with an abrupt and slightly unsatisfying ending. I've seen it twice and both times my attention started to wander in the final act.
It's still a strong recommendation from me as a creepy and unsettling experience that feels pretty singular.
I am surprised this doesn't have a sequel or American remake but according to wikipedia both were in the plans but have gone quiet since 2018 which is a real shame.

When Evil Lurks isn't a sequel, but it's set in the same world.

I finally saw this over the weekend.
What took me so long? Damn. Legit banger. Actually scary. Unnerving images that are going to stay in my head. And best of all, a whole new world, with its own mythology and rules, such that a viewer can never relax. Dread abounds.
Great stuff. Loved it.

Finally saw this. I liked When Evil Lurks and I knew this was sort of related. It's been so long I'm not totally sure it was set in the same world. Is this really the outbreak? I can't quite remember but it feels very different.
It is mostly a grab bag of spooky things. But they are good spooky things.
