TFW the cliffhanger is basically the cliffhanger of the previous episode. As it turns out, there's more of this cliff!
Nice to finally see the more operational side of Marcus and Shirley, just a little bit. Feels a bit little and late perhaps.
Kind of funny to establish that the brother dude has national-guard-esque experience to explain how he knows how to release the pistol from its holster, but then he gets immediately shot through the neck anyway. Reminded me a little of Amy Seimetz in You're Next.

The interrogation/debrief/stand-off between Tavener and Tearney was excellent.

This damn show!! It has the ability to make me forget about the passage of time and then BAM! it ends. I literally said, "Oh HELL NO!" when the episode ended.
Poor Douglas! I hate Duffy.

And yeah, all the way through Duffy's interrogation of Douglas, I was trying to decide if Duffy had _actually_ changed allegiances to Tearney or if he was just setting her up for failure, but I think I had actually lost track of who might be crossing whom at that point.

Every single episode this season has ended on a cliffhanger, hasn't it? (I've mentioned this to a friend, as a warning that a binge might be less stressful than staying caught up.)
I think next week's the season finale. I'm rooting for Standish to utterly dismantle opposing forces.

I seem to recall a big fuss about River not sending one of the boxes to the facility, being a lazy ass and having missed the truck. Was that just a figment of Chekhov’s imagination?
Standish is the last person left who hasn’t made a play—she has to win this one, right?

Not a figment, no - I was entirely expecting them to realise the file is actually still at Slough House because data management is hard.

I think with the shooting stuff it's entered into James Bond territory which is a little disappointing.

Agreed. This season added a whole lot of violence without amping up the cleverness and wit to match. I think the balance was way off. I love these characters so much I'll stick with them, but these latest episodes have been disappointing.

He was dead man walking from at least the moment he said he was in the TA. Probably before that since he was the tag along and assigned for death to liven things up from the start.
