In this parody of hospital soap operas, a new batch of doctors begins their internship at City Hospital, and romance is in the air!

Starring Michael McKean, Sean Young, Dabney Coleman, Harry Dean Stanton, Hector Elizondo, Michael Richards, Pamela Reed, Taylor Negron, Crystal Bernard, Saul Rubinek, Ted McGinley, and Rick Overton. Featuring cameos by many soap stars including the late Stuart Damon and Jacklyn Zeman. And even an uncredited performance by Richard Dean Anderson as a drug dealer.

Directed by Garry Marshall. Written by Michael Elias (The Jerk) and Rich Eustis who would go on to create Head of the Class together.

This was the last movie I watched in 2023, part of a WP a friend of mine hosted. I haven't seen this since it originally came out and was surprised how well it help up. It's absolutely packed with talented people being silly.

Good to hear it's aged well. I've had it in mind for a rewatch for years, not having seen it since the first time in the mid 80s.

Just based on the initial description, I expected this to be a spin-off of Children's Hospital. But wow, what a cast!
