This ep was a real turning point - the early few seemed very 'interesting premise with some very grating characters' and then Angel's background story hit some really heavy pathos here that fleshed out a lot of the earlier behaviors and gave an actual developmental arc some motion. I was on the fence about the whole show up until here, and then binged the rest in one go.
