The more I watch this series, the more it reminds me of Michael Schur shows. This week: being anti-librarian. Because how dare she like, make people check out books and limit what books and reserve rooms and Barbara can't just waltz in and out and grab books and deliver kids when she wants to!

Melissa and Jacob being soulmates in living together is adorable. I seriously want to get one of those book display thingies.
"Is this Mr. Johnson, did he play in the Negro leagues?!" HEY WAIT A MINUTE I SAID LAST WEEK SOMETHING FUNNY WAS GOING ON WITH PICTURES AND MR. JOHNSON!

Well, I'm guessing this is the reason that the writers had Melissa break up with vending machine guy and Jacob break up with his boyfriend: to give Jacob and Melissa a reason to be platonic roommates. I like unlikely friendships so I'm enjoying this so far.
Other things I liked:
Ava being so amused at the reveal of "Lester" and "Mildred"'s identities that she pinched Jacob's cheek on the way out.
Gregory nerding out over the new librarian's filing system.
Janine doing the hard thing and confronting Barbara: "This is terrifying and will haunt my dreams and nightmares for the next seven years, but... you're wrong."

The actress who played the librarian, Cree Summer, has an extensive resume in voice work. Very fun!
