I wanted to like this more, but it didn't really click for me. (I really liked the 70s/80s Dick Turpin series when I was a kid, even had a double-barrelled flintlock-looking cap pistol, so I have a soft spot for highwaypersons).

Maybe it's because they're just setting up the scenario in the first episode, it might get better if they turn into actual outlaws.

This is on my watch list, I'll try to get to it soon and pop back in!

I really enjoyed this. It was on my radar because of an actor I like (who unfortunately but predictably gets [SPOILERED] in the first episode), but I was very excited to watch the whole thing when I saw the trailer, and I was not disappointed.

The cast is great. Scenery is chewed. It gets unexpectedly political. There are so many good bits. The first episode is very much setup; I thought that the rest went in a less predictable direction. There are some tonal shifts which really left me guessing right until the end whether there was going to be a happy ending, which I consider a positive.

You mean Pip Torrens? He's great, and it's always a nice surprise when he shows up in things. He's also in The Nevers, which shares a few thematic similarities. And he's low-key kinda hilarious in the Dark Pictures video game series.

I really enjoyed this episode. Apart from some surprisingly violent moments, it sort of has the vibe of some of the old Wonderful World of Disney shows.

I actually meant Craig Parkinson, but Pip Torrens is also a Guy I Love To See in things. He was the only reason I kept watching The Nevers, and I thought he was great in Preacher.

I've watched a few episodes, and this show is weird enough to keep my attention so far.

The opening sequence did not fill me with enthusiasm, but I kept going out of professional curiosity and am glad I did. It went in some directions I really liked (spoiler spoiler spoiler) and did some things that made me roll my eyes.
Overall, though, I liked its flavour and its vibe.
If, like me, you’re curious but didn’t immediately “click,” at least give it til the end of the first episode.

This is the kind of slight but very fun thing that is nice to have in the rotation to mix in with other shows.

For the love of God! How can you not adore a show in which Nate from Ted Lasso is a wee fairy creature who literally flies into Orla from Derry Girls's mouth so she can knock the stuffing out of people who really, really to need to get their stuffing knocked out!

And that's before we get to they're all dressed like Adam and the Ants!
