So who or what do we think Sugar and his real backstory is? Spy? Alien? (Molesome, you mentioned Under The Skin last week, and this week had The Thing reference.) Traveler from a different time or parallel world (that typewriter last week reminded me of Fringe a bit)?

Something else?

M. Night Shyamalan ran so this show could wander around checking stuff out.

My money is on aliens observing humans, maybe prepping for an invasion. I'm liking it. I don't know if they have multiple seasons in mind but if it's something like that and they have a big reveal at the end of the season I don't know how it wouldn't drastically change the show in future seasons.
