I hate the "Kevin Hart may be my dad" thing, you obviously know that's not going to be the case, why should I even care, it isn't even funny (also, excuse for Kevin Hart cameo, which was also unfunny). Likewise, I had huge sympathy for Gregory and people harping on his dead mom.

Really, this was just sad for a comedy, albeit Ava being less of a dick at the end to Janine was nice.

I loved the shot of Gregory sitting with his head askew, trapped, as Barbara’s family laid their hands on him.

I liked the detail that Janine's sister has a dad and stepmom in her life, and Janine just has her mom. It fits so well with the dynamics of Janine's relationships with her sister and her mom.

I also liked the way that Gregory spoke to Barbara after that excruciating brunch, he was firm about what he needed, but was kind about it too.
