Summary of my reaction to this episode: if anyone wants me, I'll be lying face down on the floor for a while.

A friend asked me to name an object that I’d associate with the characters in this show. After this episode, I picked a switchblade for Louis. Is Raglan right tho? Should Daniel be more afraid of him? Am I so blinded by my Armand love that I can’t see that he is a villain? Making Louis the dark twist in the show would really help his character, because he is the beige whiny pillow in the books.

I mean, I was gullible enough during the cafe scene that I didn’t see the betrayal coming, so I’m possibly just a gullible watcher.

I wonder which version of Lestat we are getting next week. Armand’s fanfic or Louis’s conveniently false memory.

Is there room for me on the floor, fight or flight? I think I need to lie down too.

Rashid as a Talamasca spy is good fun and makes me wonder about Armand taking his place for the interview. If they know he's a plant, I suppose they could just kill or fire him. But if they just want him out of the way while Daniel is there, it's a tidy way to do it.

The long scene where they're bickering about the blank wall was exquisite. I love divorce.

Tumblr reminds me that when asked about the magnolia tree in the meditation room, Armand-as-Rashid says, "The interior designer hired was a sentimentalist." And now I need to lie down again.

Everything about the Madeline-gets-turned sequence made me happily insane from start to finish. The writers love us and want us to feel joy before they murder us in cold blood.

Raglan warns Daniel to be afraid of "the other one", but does not name Louis. That leaves some crucial ambiguity, a little gap in the narrative that could perhaps make room for Lestat.

Madeleine's "Not yet,"...and Claudia looking so happy in Madeleine's imagination...my heart. I anticipate being fully destroyed by next week's episode.

Real Rashid as Talamasca operative is *chef's kiss*. But how could Armand not know? Or does he?

Vulture says that the boring play where nothing happens is literally Waiting for Godot (which I didn't notice while watching but that's really funny).

Madeleine is so funny and sweet and mean. I guess they had to make us love her since we already knew Claudia was doomed; they had to make this extra painful.
