Living in Kyoto, Japan, a woman's life is turned upside down after her husband and son disappear in a mysterious plane crash. As consolation, she receives Sunny, a domestic robots made by her husband's electronics company.
In a near-future Kyoto, Suzie struggles with profound grief and is given a domestic robot to assist her.
I had missed the ads then saw the review on Vulture which convinced me to check it out, and I’m loving it so far! Excellent aesthetic and story so far.

Clearly a building designed with the thought that if the whole Conference Center thing didn't work out, they could at least generate some revenue renting it out to production companies working on SF projects.

Just watched the first episode and spent most of it trying to place locations (the Kyoto international conference center plays a lot of roles), and getting that sort of “you can’t go south from the Flatiron building and wind up in Harlem” feeling I’ve always dreamed of

The sets and locations are spectacular. The ImaTech building really exists, and is really that cool looking; it's the Kyoto International Conference Center.
