This opening scene was so tense! I gasped aloud when the copper dragon appeared. Poor mother, but thank goodness Ulavina speaks Draconic.

Of course Flik can disable the collar! And finally they get to square off against the Future in battle.

Rhyming "Tolo" and "YOLO" while granting bardic inspiration was priceless. And as Brian rolled dexterity saving throws against fireball:

Landree: They better be good.
Ned: No, they better be bad!

I hadn't encountered lair actions before, although I suppose that makes sense -- usually entering combat in a dragon's lair is ill-advised.

Lots of cool combat moves all-around, including from Dalli (repeating acid slinger, anyone?). It was fun watching Brian enact slowly sinking into the acid behind his DM screen. And I have mixed feelings about Thane fleeing at the start -- is he escaping to cause more trouble in the future?

Ahhhh ending the episode on Vinh's death saving throw!

OK, finally back in town so I can post!

Definitely did not expect a dragon to make an appearance in this campaign, but I probably should have -- we've got Dungeons, so we have to have Dragons! And of course, it gives Brian the chance to do THE SCARIEST DRAGON VOICE EVAR.

I love that Ulavina's voice changes when speaking Draconic :D And glad that Flik's curse finally came in handy for the group!

Man, that battle started off so well for Our Heroes with Tolo and Vinh just smashing the first couple knights into ground beef, but then things got NASTY. Tolo going down twice, then Vinh going down -- yikes. The soldiers are one thing, but those spellcasters really made things rough. And I was a bit surprised by Thane's quick exit -- I guess he doesn't want to face his nephew! Looking forward to that confrontation...

Dalli's repeating acid arrow crossbow was pretty dope, as was whatever the heck that arm-mounted explosive launcher thing was.

I too had never seen lair actions before, but it's a cool mechanic. And man, fighters and barbarians sure do get powerful quickly as the level up. Brian's initial reactions to Tolo and Vinh launching attack after vicious attack were really funny. But really, everyone was firing on all cylinders in battle.

But once again, Landree's infectious laughter and intensity takes the cake. My partner was sitting in the next room while I was watching, and she kept laughing in amazement at how much fun everyone is having.

Oh I forgot, Ned gets line of the episode with "I had a theory, and that theory was proved by YA FACE"

Also, Khary's descriptions of Tolo's kills are pretty epic.

Yes! Sarah's voice signals so clearly when she speaks Draconic. And Ned's line about Brian's face, haha. So many good moments, I keep missing out on mentioning some! Landree's laughter, Brian's fantastic voice work, and Khary's battle descriptions are always appreciated even when I don't say so. :)
