I watched this yesterday, and found it creepy and effective.

It's amazing how some faces can look totally ordinary in some situations, and can turn almost into Evil Clown faces in others.

This really works. It's not a four or five star film or anything, but it is a fun three star film made for the cost of an IKEA sofa, and that is really something.

For me it works because the premise is effective but simple, they had enough sense not to overextend it (it's a tight 62 minutes), and yes, Curry Barker gives a fun central performance, becoming gradually more and more unsettling, even as, in his eyes, he's just a merry YouTube prankster.

Someone needs to be writing him a check for like $200,000 for his next feature, so we can see what he can do with a budget that allows for even a little room to stretch out.

Looks like Barker has another DIY feature in the works. this one will not be found footage.

Curry Barker's previous YT-distributed film was the popular horror short The Chair, which garnered 5.5M views and several festival accolades. It runs about 24 minutes.

Ooh, The Chair was nice and creepy; I'll have to check this one out, thanks.

I will say that I preferred the ersatz Mulholland Drive mind-fuckery and surreal vibes of The Chair to the ersatz Man Bites Dog vibes of this movie, but I still think Curry and his crew are very talented and I hope they are able to get a good budget for their next project.
